  1. Absolutely. You are not going to get a job if you arrive at an interview too hungry to think straight, with scruffy clothes or a bad haircut, unhealthy, tense, stressed, anxious and reeking of desperation. It doesn’t help if the job is one of twenty you have applied for in order to comply with your jobseekers agreement and you are struggling to remember exactly what job this is and what you wrote on the application.
    The regime applied to jobseekers now is staggeringly counter-productive, unless it is actually designed to turn people into zombies prepared to passively endure whatever the DWP or their employers dish out to them.
