  1. I wish they would sanction the DWP computers. I had to make a claim for JSA a few weeks ago but the computer lost my claim. Then JCP told me I was too ill to work and must claim ESA instead. Guess what? The computer lost my claim again! Never mind the sick note runs out soon so I will have to make another claim for JSA. I have already seen the problem. Having made a JSA claim within 26 weeks (and the computer does know about that) it should be a continuation claim but the computer will not know about the missing data (because DWP computers don’t make mistakes) so the claim will automatically be lost yet again. Never mind its only six weeks on an automatic 100% sanction although the phone bills run up speaking to the sympathetic humans have been enormous. The fact that these now long in the tooth systems still don’t work is not encouraging for the implementation of the massively complicated Universal Credit. It could be centuries.

    • No no. See, that would involve greater expenses…even if you’re homeless, you’ll be expected to turn up to the Workfare on time, or else.
